It's been a scorching stretch for Badin baseball, and the Rams show no signs of cooling down. On Wednesday, May 13, Badin rallied from an early deficit to beat Elder 5-2, securing their 15th straight win—a remarkable run that has transformed their season.
Elder jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead, but the Rams answered back with a pair of runs in the fourth inning to tie things up. Then, in the fifth, Badin took control for good, plating three runs to seize the lead. Keegan Sawyer was a force at the plate, lining a double and a triple, while Vince Laugle and Austin Vangen each drove in two runs to power the Rams' offense.
After a modest 4-3 start to the season, Badin has been unstoppable, reeling off 15 consecutive victories. They now boast a 10-0 record in the Greater Catholic League Co-Ed and an impressive 19-3 mark overall. Up next, the Rams host Springboro on Thursday, May 14, before a marquee matchup at Great American Ball Park against Centerville on Saturday, May 16—a perfect setting to cap off a dominant week.
Elsewhere around the diamond, Northmont rolled past Graham 15-4, powered by Austin Welch's four RBI on two hits and Chase Fuduloff's two hits and two RBI. In a crosstown rivalry, Lakota East edged Lakota West 3-2, with Brayden Reinhart delivering an RBI-double and Connor Magato and Gavin Byrd each plating a run. At the Reds Futures High School Showcase, Tippecanoe rallied past Butler 8-6, thanks to Ethan Harney's three-hit, four-RBI performance, which earned him PNC Bank MVP honors.
