After the first week of NCHSAA and NCISAA spring playoffs, here are 16, 910Preps Athlete of the Week nominees. Vote now.

The high school sports postseason is in full swing, and spring athletes are delivering unforgettable performances as championships draw near.

After the first week of baseball and softball playoffs, Terry Sanford and Freedom Christian are the only baseball teams from Cumberland County still competing in their respective classifications. In softball, South View and Gray's Creek remain alive, setting up an exciting head-to-head matchup on Tuesday for a spot in the third round.

Track and field athletes are also making headlines, with several heading to the NCHSAA state championship this week. Meanwhile, soccer playoffs kick off, and Fayetteville sends eight teams into the postseason mix.

With so many standout moments, here are the nominees for the May 4-9, 910Preps Athlete of the Week. Vote now and celebrate these incredible athletes!

Christian Burnette, Gray's Creek track & field — Burnette took first place in the NCHSAA 6A regionals shot put with a powerful throw of 48-4.5.

Aubry Butler, Terry Sanford girls' lacrosse — Butler scored six goals and added an assist in a big win over South Brunswick.

Antonio Clark Jr., E.E. Smith track & field — Clark Jr. sprinted to first place in both the boys 100-meter (10.64) and 200-meter (22.03) at the NCHSAA 6A Regional finals.

Anthony Cook, Douglas Byrd track & field — Cook finished third in the 100-meter dash at the NCHSAA 5A Regional finals with a time of 11.55.

Damarion Cook, Douglas Byrd track & field — Cook claimed first place in the 100-meter dash at the NCHSAA 5A Regional finals, clocking in at 11.47.

A'narri Copeland, Gray's Creek girls' track & field — Copeland soared to first place in the girls' high jump at the 6A Regionals with a 5-6 leap.

Eli Corney, Freedom Christian baseball — Corney crushed two home runs in the Patriots' playoff victory over Caldwell Academy.

Jada Cromartie, Terry Sanford girls' track & field — Cromartie finished second in her event, helping lead her team toward the state championships.
