Newcastle United is buzzing again after a much-needed 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at St. James' Park last weekend. The win snapped a tough stretch of results, and the smiles were back on Tyneside as the squad returned to training with renewed energy.
Manager Eddie Howe didn't hide his relief, telling the club's official site: "A big relief for me, for the players, for everybody. It's been a long time coming. We've missed that feeling of winning, so delighted to get it back today. It wasn't a perfect performance, but it was a really strong performance against a very good opponent. That's a massive win."
The mood at the club's Benton training base has been noticeably upbeat this week, with players putting in the hard yards ahead of a tricky away clash at Nottingham Forest's City Ground. However, there was a setback—young midfielder Lewis Miley has been ruled out for the rest of the season after an unfortunate training injury. Despite that blow, the rest of Howe's squad has been fully focused in recent sessions, sharpening up for the challenges ahead.
Our club photographer, Serena Taylor, captured the best moments from a recent training session, showing the team's determination and camaraderie. Check out the gallery below to see the lads in action as they prepare for the next test on the road.
