The title dream is over. In the penultimate round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, we suffered a heartbreaking 1-2 defeat against LASK. Two quick-fire goals from throw-ins proved our undoing, leaving us with too little, too late at the league leaders. Despite a late strike from Karim Konate, the loss means we're out of the title race with just one match remaining.

The stage was set in Linz, where LASK had the chance to clinch only their second league title since 1965 in front of a roaring home crowd. The atmosphere was electric, but we arrived with our own ambitions firmly in sight. From the opening whistle, we were the more aggressive side, setting a fast but slightly chaotic tempo. Maurits Kjaegaard tested the opposing goalkeeper early in the 8th minute after a slick pass from Yorbe Vertessen, while the hosts played cautiously, seemingly content with a draw to keep their hopes alive.

Our best chance of the first half came in the 16th minute, when Stefan Lainer delivered a pinpoint cross to Vertessen. The Belgian's header sailed just over the bar, but the signs were promising. We dominated possession, shots, and rhythm—everything was going our way. Then, around the 25th minute, Linz found their footing. Alex Schlager made a sharp save to deny Cisse from a free kick, but the turning point came just before halftime.

In the 33rd minute, a routine throw-in from Usor was headed into the danger zone by Tornich, and Adeniran nodded home to make it 1-0. The goal injected new life into LASK. Just three minutes later, another throw-in proved costly. Andrade curled the ball against the post, and Jörgensen pounced on the rebound to make it 2-0. Two set-piece goals from throw-ins—a harsh lesson in Bundesliga football.

The second half started slowly. Linz managed their lead comfortably, sitting deep and forcing us to find a way through their defense. Kerim Alajbegovic provided a glimmer of hope with a powerful long-range shot that rattled the post in the 56th minute. He tried again moments later, but the breakthrough wouldn't come until the dying minutes. Karim Konate pulled one back just before the final whistle, but it was too little, too late.

With one round remaining, the title is now out of reach. It's a bitter end to a hard-fought season, but we'll look to finish strong and keep our heads high.
