The Tennessee Titans are continuing their offseason organizational overhaul, making additional staff changes just days after announcing a major restructuring of their football operations.
In the latest moves, the Titans have parted ways with Director of Football Research and Development Sarah Bailey, who was originally hired in 2023 by former executive Chad Brinker to strengthen the team's analytics department. The departure comes shortly after Brinker stepped down from his role, though no specific reason has been given for Bailey's exit. She now joins the free agent market, looking for her next opportunity in the NFL.
Bailey had joined the Titans from the Los Angeles Rams, bringing valuable experience from one of the league's most analytically advanced organizations. Interestingly, Tennessee recently promoted Bryce Wasserman to Football Counsel and Head of Football Research, suggesting a shift in how the team approaches data analysis.
But it's not all departures in Nashville. The Titans are also adding new talent to their front office and training staff. According to Paul Kuharsky, the team has hired Shane Normandeau as Director of Pro Scouting. Normandeau brings experience from previous stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns, giving him a broad perspective on talent evaluation across the league.
The team has also brought on Regan Chapman as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Chapman previously interned with the Titans last year, so she's already familiar with the organization's culture and protocols. This internal promotion-style hire could help maintain continuity in the training room.
While these moves might signal the end of this particular hiring wave, the Titans remain active in reshaping their football staff. With the NFL offseason in full swing, more changes could be on the horizon as the team builds toward the 2024 season. For Titans fans, this period of transition represents a chance to refresh the organization's approach—both on and off the field.
