This week's standout moments come from a thrilling baseball and softball doubleheader between Dover and Tuscarawas Valley on May 7. The Crimson Tornadoes swept the day with a pair of 2-0 victories, showcasing dominant pitching and clutch defensive plays.

On the softball diamond, freshman phenom Abby Lint was electric in the circle for Dover, striking out batters and keeping the Trojans off balance all game. Her teammates rallied around her, celebrating each big out with energy that could be felt from the stands. Dover's Elle Tonya stepped into the batter's box ready to make an impact, while Ali Hupp showed off her range in the outfield, making a tough catch while avoiding a collision with teammate Olivia McCue.

Over on the baseball side, Tuscarawas Valley's Brennen Reichman brought the heat, winding up and firing pitches that kept Dover's hitters guessing. The Trojans' defense was sharp too, with Aleah Orvisky making crisp throws to first baseman Jocelyn Wallace to record key outs. Elliot Wallick showed his speed on the basepaths, sliding safely into second base to keep pressure on the Dover defense.

Both teams displayed the heart and hustle that makes high school sports so exciting. Now it's your turn to recognize the athletes who stood out most.
