Tiger Woods is back on home soil. The golf legend was spotted landing in Florida on Wednesday, May 13, after completing a six-week rehab program abroad following his DUI arrest and car crash on March 27.

The 50-year-old, five-time Masters champion stepped off his private jet at Palm Beach International Airport, arriving from Zurich, Switzerland, according to TMZ. Dressed in a black hat, jacket, and sunglasses, Woods returned just one day before the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania—a tournament he would not be playing in.

For fans hoping to see Woods back on the course soon, there's reason for cautious optimism. A source previously told PEOPLE that the athlete "desperately" wants to return to golf. But first, he's focusing on his health and recovery.

The trouble began on March 27, when Woods crashed his Range Rover on a two-lane road near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida. Deputies from the Martin County Sheriff's Office reported finding two hydrocodone pills in his pants pocket at the scene. After administering a sobriety test, officers noted "several signs of impairment," including "bloodshot and glassy" eyes and "extremely dilated" pupils, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by PEOPLE. Woods has since pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge.

Days after his arrest, Woods released a statement on X announcing he was "stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment" and focus on his health. "This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery," he said at the time. His lawyers successfully petitioned a judge to allow him to leave the country for treatment.

Now back in Florida, Woods' return marks the next chapter in his recovery journey—one that fans and the golf world alike will be watching closely.
