The Rams’ trade of Tre’Davious white to the Ravens has wrapped up.

The NFL Draft may be over, but the final details of a key midseason trade have just been settled. The Tre’Davious White deal between the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens—first agreed upon in 2025—has officially been completed with draft compensation. Let’s break down what this means for both teams and how it impacts the veteran cornerback’s journey.

When the Rams signed White to a one-year, $4.25 million contract in 2024, the hope was that he’d bounce back from a devastating Achilles injury and recapture his All-Pro form from his Buffalo Bills days. While he proved he was healthy, the on-field production didn’t match expectations. White earned a starting job out of training camp but was benched in Week 5 and didn’t see another snap for Los Angeles. That’s when the Ravens, desperate for secondary depth, came calling.

Baltimore’s cornerback room was shaky behind starters Brandon Stephens and Marlon Humphrey. Rookie first-rounder Nate Wiggins was still finding his footing, and 2022 fourth-round pick Jalyn Armour-Davis was sidelined with yet another injury. White’s experience alone made him a valuable addition, even if his Rams tenure had been rocky. The Ravens pulled the trigger midseason, sending a seventh-round pick to Los Angeles to acquire White and a 2027 seventh-rounder.

Now that the trade is officially wrapped up, we know the full compensation: The Rams received Baltimore’s original seventh-round pick (No. 232 overall) in the 2025 Draft, which they used to select Alabama defensive tackle Tim Keenan. For the Ravens, the deal came with a bonus twist. White signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Bills this offseason, triggering a compensatory seventh-round pick (No. 250 overall) for Baltimore. That means the Ravens effectively moved back 18 spots in the seventh round of the 2026 Draft, using the comp pick on Michigan defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny.

On the field, White carved out a role as Baltimore’s fourth cornerback down the stretch. In 182 snaps over seven appearances, he was surprisingly effective, allowing just 2.7 yards per target and 5.4 yards per reception. Quarterbacks posted a 50% completion rate and a 56.2 passer rating when throwing his way. But the playoffs told a different story: White surrendered three catches for 46 yards on four targets, a sour note to end his Ravens stint. Still, for a team in need of proven depth, the gamble paid off more than it cost—especially with a future pick in hand.
