The 2026 NFL Draft is here, and most of the focus is on players the team is adding. Yes, we focus on the players coming to the New Orleans Saints but in this case, we have to look back at a player we lost; Rashid Shaheed. Because of his 2025 trade, the Saints have two picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Saints receive: 2026 fourth-round pick, 2026 fifth-round pick

Those picks worked out pretty poorly for the Saints in the grand scheme of things, with Shahid helping the Seahawks win the Super Bowl. That means those picks are that last regular picks in each round. The picks ended up at 132 and 172 overall.

At 132, the Saints grabbed Auburn guard Jeremiah Wright.

At 172, the Saints picked Ohio State safety Lorenzo Styles Jr.

Rashid Shaheed played nine games each for the Saints and Seahawks in 2025, a truly remarkable 18-game season. he caught 15 passes for 1888 yards while adding seven rushes for 64 yards. He returns 27 combined punts and kickoffs for 628 yards and two touchdowns. He added a big kickoff return touchdown in the playoffs.

His play was so impactful, the Seahawks re-signed him this offseason.
