Michael Olise is doing something truly special at Bayern Munich. The 24-year-old Frenchman has just recorded his 30th assist of the season across all competitions—a milestone that only three other players have reached in Europe's top-five leagues this century.
Olise has been the creative engine behind Vincent Kompany's breathtaking Bayern side, which has shattered the Bundesliga's single-season goal record on its way to another German title. With 117 goals in 33 games ahead of their season finale against Köln, Bayern's attack has been unstoppable—and Olise has been at the heart of it all.
In the Bundesliga alone, he's racked up 19 assists from just 23 starts, setting up a goal every 120 minutes. No player across England, Spain, Italy, Germany, or France has created more league goals this season.
Now, with 30 assists in all competitions, Olise joins an elite group. Lionel Messi did it twice at Barcelona (2011/12 and 2014/15), Kevin De Bruyne hit 31 for Manchester City in 2022/23, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan also reached 31 for Borussia Dortmund in 2015/16. Each of those legends finished with 31 assists—a mark Olise is determined to beat before the season ends.
He'll get his chance in the Bundesliga finale against Köln, followed by the DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart on May 23rd. A win there would complete a domestic double for Bayern—and put Olise's historic season in even brighter lights.
