This could be a good sign out of the history books.

History has a funny way of repeating itself—and for the Cleveland Cavaliers, that could mean another NBA championship run.

After six grueling games in their first-round playoff series against the Toronto Raptors, the Cavs and Raptors were locked in a statistical deadlock that's nearly unheard of. Each team had scored exactly 669 points heading into Game 7. That's right—perfectly even after six games of back-and-forth basketball.

According to NBC's broadcast, this was only the second time in NBA history that a series reached a Game 7 with the points completely tied. The first time? That was the Cavaliers against the Golden State Warriors—the same year Cleveland finally broke its championship drought, led by none other than LeBron James.

If that's not a good omen, we don't know what is.

The Cavs certainly channeled that energy on Sunday night. After a tight first half, they surged ahead before the break and never looked back, pulling away in the second half to eliminate the Raptors and advance to the second round.

Sure, the Cavaliers are still 12 wins away from hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy. But with a LeBron-sized omen on their side, the belief is real.

What makes this Cavs team so dangerous is their versatility. Need elite guard play? Donovan Mitchell and James Harden can take over. Need size and defense in the paint? Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have you covered. Need shooting from deep? Sam Merrill and Max Strus are ready to light it up. And with depth pieces like Jaylon Tyson, Dennis Schroder, and Dean Wade, this rotation can adapt to any opponent.

That adaptability is exactly how they stayed toe-to-toe with a gritty Raptors squad all series—even when things got tough, even when they trailed for the entire first half before tying it up on the final possession before the break.

With the Celtics already knocked out of the Eastern Conference, the path forward is opening up. Next up for Cleveland is the top-seeded Pistons, while the other semifinal pits the 76ers against the Knicks. Eventually, a Western Conference powerhouse awaits—likely the Thunder, Spurs, or maybe even LeBron himself.

For now, though, the Cavs have every reason to celebrate—and every reason to believe. History is on their side.
