The One-Day Cup is heating up, and The Blaze are leading the charge after a commanding performance against Durham. With four wins in five games, they've soared to the top of the table, showcasing the kind of form that makes them a team to watch this season.

Batting first after winning the toss in Chester-le-Street, The Blaze looked shaky at 91-5. But captain Kirstie Gordon stepped up with a gritty 60 not out, and a crucial 83-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Lucy Higham (32) pushed them to a competitive 240-8 off their 50 overs.

Durham never found their rhythm in reply. Charley Phillips delivered a stellar performance, ripping through the top order to finish with 5-49—her maiden List A five-wicket haul. Grace Thompson fought valiantly with 49, but Durham were bowled out for just 148, handing The Blaze a convincing 92-run victory with 10.4 overs to spare.

Elsewhere, Hampshire suffered their first defeat of the campaign after a dominant start. Lancashire, who had lost their previous three matches, turned the tables at Emirates Old Trafford. Winning the toss, the Red Rose bowled Hampshire out for just 153, with Kate Cross leading the attack with 3-31. A solid opening partnership of 93 between Emma Lamb (56) and Eve Jones (47) set the foundation for a comfortable six-wicket win, chased down with 16.3 overs to spare.

Essex made it two wins from two, edging Yorkshire by 13 runs in a tight contest, while Warwickshire secured a 34-run victory over Somerset at Edgbaston. Warwickshire's Charis Pavely was the star, smashing her second century in four days—a brilliant 128 that set up her team's win.

With The Blaze now sitting top, the competition is wide open. Will they maintain their momentum, or will challengers like Lancashire and Essex step up? One thing's for sure: the One-Day Cup is delivering drama and excitement with every match.
