The 2025-26 indoor track season in Rhode Island was one for the books, showcasing a thrilling mix of established stars and exciting new talent. The Providence Journal's All-State Girls Indoor Track and Field Teams, selected by our sports staff with input from coaches, highlight the athletes who dominated the oval this winter.

In the distance events, a new name announced her arrival with authority. Making her All-State debut, Alge powered through a stacked 1,000-meter field to claim gold in 3:20.00, signaling the start of a career that will have the entire state watching her progress for years to come.

Meanwhile, Bianchi, already part of a cross-country dynasty, broke through on the track in spectacular fashion. After a Second Team nod in the fall, she delivered a brilliant performance in the 3,000 meters at the state championships, winning by over three seconds with a time of 10:36.63 to cement her status among Rhode Island's elite runners.

The sprints saw a long-awaited breakout from Brown. After two years of chasing the Raye sisters, she seized her moment at the state meet. She kicked off her day with a silver in the 55 meters before exploding to a gold-medal victory in the 300, clocking a blistering 40.74 seconds to earn her first All-State honor.

Proving she's one of the state's premier all-around athletes, Jackson put on a masterclass in her final indoor state meet, securing her second consecutive First Team selection. The three-time soccer All-Stater was nearly unstoppable, capturing individual gold in the 55 meters, high jump, and long jump while also grabbing a bronze in the hurdles, setting the stage for a huge outdoor finale.

Completing the standout performances, Maxwell's evolution into an individual superstar was a highlight of the season. The senior, previously an All-State relay contributor, dominated the 600 meters in her last state meet, winning by over five seconds with a time of 1:33.69. She also provided crucial anchor legs for her team's 4x200 and 4x400 relay squads, demonstrating the versatility and leadership that define a true champion.
