Fifth-ranked Texas softball had its biggest comeback of the season while winning the first game of a best-of-three series Saturday against Georgia, 7-5. On Sunday, the Longhorns will try and win their first series in three weeks in Game 2 against the host Bulldogs.
Catcher Reese Atwood led the Longhorns with three hits and ended the game by catching right fielder Ashton Maloney's bullet to get the final out at home. Freshman Hannah Wells blasted a three-run homer in the fifth inning to start the comeback from a 5-1 deficit.
