Texas basketball fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about the future, and one name making serious waves right now is Bo Ogden. The Longhorns signee has earned a prestigious invitation to the 2026 USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team Training Camp, a massive honor for the soon-to-be freshman. The camp kicks off on the 21st, giving Ogden a prime opportunity to showcase his talents on a national stage.
Currently ranked as the 39th-best player in the 2026 class, Ogden is also listed as the 15th-best small forward and the fourth-best player from the Lone Star State. That kind of recognition has head coach Sean Miller eagerly awaiting his collegiate debut. But Ogden isn't just resting on rankings—he's been stacking accolades as his high school career winds down.
Most recently, Ogden was named Mr. Basketball in Texas after leading Westlake to a stellar 32-7 overall record and a runner-up finish in the UIL Class 6A Division II state tournament. As a senior, he averaged an impressive 22.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc. That followed a standout junior season at St. Michael's Preparatory School, where he averaged 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, earning him the 2025 All-Austin Metro Mr. Basketball honor from the Austin Sports Journal.
Now, Ogden will test his skills internationally as part of Team USA in Group A, facing off against Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. The quarterfinals are set for June 5, with semifinals on June 6 and medal games on June 7. Whether he brings home hardware or not, this experience is sure to be one he'll never forget—and a perfect preview of what's to come in burnt orange.
