Texas A&M dropped both games of Saturday’s doubleheader to Oklahoma, losing their second straight SEC series but still locking up the No. 6 seed.

Texas A&M's late-season struggles continued Saturday as the Aggies fell in both games of a doubleheader against No. 1 Oklahoma, dropping their second straight SEC series. Despite the tough weekend, the team secured the No. 6 seed for the upcoming conference tournament.

The second game turned into a defensive battle, with both sides leaving eight runners stranded on base. After three scoreless innings, Oklahoma broke through with a few singles and a sacrifice bunt to take a 3-0 lead into the fourth. The Aggies answered in explosive fashion in the fifth, as Frankie Vrazel singled, Kennedy Powell crushed a two-run homer, and Tallen Edwards followed with a solo shot to tie the game at 3-3. But the Sooners reclaimed the lead in the sixth on a two-out triple, and despite multiple chances in the final two innings, Texas A&M left four runners aboard and fell 4-3.

In the series finale, Oklahoma jumped ahead 4-0 in the first inning, capitalizing on early miscues before both teams settled into a defensive stalemate. The Sooners added insurance runs on a fifth-inning fielding error and a sixth-inning solo home run to extend the lead to 6-0. But the Aggies refused to go quietly, loading the bases for a final-inning push. After a walk and a single, Kelsey Mathis delivered an RBI knock to right, and Paislie Allen followed with a three-run blast to pull within 6-4. Oklahoma's coach turned to her closer, who secured the final two outs to seal the doubleheader sweep.

The Aggies now head to the SEC Tournament as the No. 6 seed, set to face the winner of Missouri vs. Auburn in the second round on May 6 at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky.
