Penn State has a long lineage of running backs in the NFL, and now Nicholas Singleton will join them today. The former Nittany Lions star was selected today by the Tennessee Titans with the 165th pick in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft today.
Singleton received second-team and third-team All-Big Ten honors in his freshman and sophomore seasons respectively, but never seemed to get the recognition he truly deserved with teammate Kaytron Allen taking a lot of the carries. Now, he’ll join an equally crowded backfield in Tennessee, who also have Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears in the running back room.
The Pennsylvania native had a decorated career at Penn State, accumulating the most all-time rushing touchdowns and fourth-most rushing yards in school history. There are some players in front of him on the Titans, but Singleton’s potential as a dual-threat back should help him get on the field early and often.
