The Tennessee Titans added an interior offensive lineman earlier in the 2026 NFL draft with Fernando Carmona, and decided to go back to the line with the addition of Indiana center Pat Coogan with pick No. 194 in the sixth round of the draft.
Coogan may not be the most athletic center in this class, but he is a technically sound prospect who anchored the offensive line for Indiana’s National Championship team. Another high character draft pick, Coogan has tremendous football IQ and is a leader of men.
Here are three things to know about the Titans' latest addition to the interior of the offensive line.
Coogan lettered in football and baseball at Marist High School in Palos Heights, Illinois. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish over other schools such as LSU, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma.
Coogan is a leader on the offensive line and played a significant role in the Indiana Hoosiers' championship run in 2025. After starting his career with Notre Dame, he transferred to Indiana for the 2025 season and finished his college career with 46 career appearances (42 starts).
Coogan was named Second-team All-Big Ten in his only season with Indiana, but the biggest award came when he was named the Offensive MVP of the Rose Bowl, the first time the award has gone to an OL since 1944.
