Tennessee baseball fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Landon Mack back on the mound. The Volunteers' starting pitcher has been ruled out for the upcoming game against Oklahoma, marking his second consecutive start sidelined due to arm soreness.

The Vols (36-18, 14-14 SEC) are set to face the Sooners (31-10, 13-15) in the regular season finale, but the game's start time remains fluid. It will begin approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the second game of the series, which resumes in the seventh inning at 2 p.m. ET after being suspended by inclement weather the night before.

Mack last missed his scheduled start against Texas on May 10, also because of arm soreness. Coach Josh Elander provided an update ahead of the Oklahoma series, stating that Mack is considered day-to-day moving forward. This leaves Tennessee without one of its key arms during a crucial stretch of the season.

The absence puts added pressure on the Vols' pitching staff, which will need to step up against a tough Oklahoma lineup. With the SEC regular season winding down, Tennessee will be looking for a strong finish to build momentum for postseason play. Fans will be watching closely for updates on Mack's recovery, hoping he can return to full strength soon.
