Clarksville boys basketball coach Ted Young has retired after 27 seasons coaching the Wildcats, he confirmed to the Leaf-Chronicle on April 26.
Young, 65, was the longest-tenured TSSAA basketball coach in Montgomery County. Clarksville went 10-14 (2-4 District 13-4A) in 2025-26.
"Just four years ago we made our last state tournament run," Young said. "It is time for the third part of my life adventure. Won’t be making any more history for CHS basketball. (I'm) still lean and healthy and adventurous — ready to enjoy this third phase of life with my wife Marydith, family, and all our friends."
