However, with their current contract expiring at the end of this season and KTM's future clouded by financial uncertainty, new owner Guenther Steiner is exploring a dramatic switch. The target? Aligning with the iconic Japanese manufacturer, Honda.

For Honda, a deal with Tech3 is a strategic masterstroke. The manufacturer is aggressively pursuing a six-bike grid presence by 2027 to rival Ducati's formidable army. Tech3's potential defection from KTM's RC16 to Honda's RC213V would be a major coup in that expansion plan.
