The message to Chimaev's team was clear before UFC 328: "If you care about Khamzat, you won't do anything fight week."

When you're preparing for the biggest fight of your life, the last thing you need is a distraction. For Khamzat Chimaev and his team heading into UFC 328, the message from the coaches couldn't have been clearer: Keep your cool, or risk everything.

According to middleweight contender Brendan Allen—who spent the final three weeks of training camp alongside Chimaev—the champion's entourage has been explicitly warned to avoid any actions that could jeopardize Saturday's highly anticipated title bout against Sean Strickland at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

"Khamzat's team, nor anyone on it that's part of his entourage or whatever you want to call it, is going to jeopardize that opportunity," Allen told MMA Junkie. "I promise you that nobody is going to do anything to jeopardize it."

The tension between Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) and Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) has been simmering all week, with Strickland making headlines for threatening "armed violence" and vowing to "shoot" the champion and his team if provoked. But Allen insists Chimaev's camp won't take the bait.

"Now if someone approaches them and tries to put hands on them, hey, they're not responsible for that," Allen added. "But as far as them initiating and starting a problem, I highly doubt that happens. There will be a lot of repercussions for anyone who does that outside of UFC or anything like that."

It's a classic fight-week chess match: Strickland is trying to rattle the champion by stirring up emotions and creating chaos. But Chimaev's team understands the stakes. Allen revealed that the coaches delivered a simple, powerful directive before the team left for Newark: "If you care about Khamzat, you won't do anything fight week. You'll let everything be and let Khamzat handle the job how he's going to handle it come fight night."

Allen, who won't be part of Chimaev's corner at UFC 328 as he returns to Chicago to prepare for his own June 6 bout against Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC Fight Night 278, knows the champion's mindset well. After spending significant time training with Chimaev and his long-term team members, he's confident the focus remains exactly where it should be—on the fight itself.

"Everyone knows what's at stake," Allen said. "I highly doubt you see anything come from their side."

For fans gearing up for the UFC 328 headliner, that's exactly the kind of discipline you want to see from a champion. No drama. No distractions. Just a fighter ready to defend his belt. And for anyone looking to channel that same fighting spirit, there's no better way to get in the zone than with gear that matches your intensity—because every champion knows the right preparation starts long before fight night.
