LAS VEGAS – Talita Alencar met the media Saturday after her win over Julia Polastri at UFC Fight Night 274.
Alencar (8-1-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) outworked Polastri (14-6 MMA, 2-3 UFC) for a unanimous decision to open the prelims at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Alencar took a trio of 29-28 scores from the judges in the curtain jerker.
Alencar won for the third straight time dating back to this time in 2025, which has her well on the rebound from the lone loss of her career – a decision setback in a rematch with Stephanie Luciano in 2024. They ran things back after a draw on DWCS a year prior.
An interesting note about Alencar's four UFC wins is that all have come against opponents with at least twice as much professional experience as her, yet she keeps passing the tests. This time, she did it as an underdog.

"We’re very happy, me and my team, but we’re never happy with the result as far as, you want a submission, you want to get a bonus," Alencar said at her post-fight news conference. "But I did make a statement today at many points, even with my cardio.
"I do intend to keep very busy. I'm here to climb the rankings. I do expect the UFC to give me a ranked opponent right now. If you look at the difference, all the girls I've been fighting, all of them have a lot of experience compared to me. I'm just really growing into the sport."
