The Chicago Wolves are heading to the Central Division Finals after a commanding 6-1 victory over the Texas Stars in Game Five of the semifinals. It was a night to remember for forward Ryan Suzuki, whose hat trick powered the Wolves to the next round.

From the opening puck drop, Chicago came out flying. In the first 2:32 minutes, the Wolves unleashed a 4-0 shooting spree, with Suzuki and Josiah Slavin finding the back of the net on the second and third shots. The Stars tried to fight back, outshooting Chicago 6-1 during a 6:50-minute stretch in the middle of the period, but Wolves goaltender Cayden Primeau stood tall, turning aside every chance. Despite a Texas power play, Chicago controlled the end of the frame, taking six of the last seven shots.

The second period was a tight battle, with Texas holding a slim 10-9 edge in shots. Each team traded a goal, but Chicago couldn't capitalize on a four-minute power play after a double minor. The game remained within reach for the Stars heading into the third period.

That's when Suzuki took over. Just two minutes into the final frame, the Wolves got a power play, and Suzuki made no mistake, burying his second goal of the game to give Chicago a 4-1 lead. The Stars never recovered. Two empty-net goals followed, including Suzuki's hat trick clincher, sealing the series and pushing the Wolves one step closer to the Calder Cup Finals.

Primeau was the backbone of the victory, stopping 25 of 26 shots for a stellar .962 save percentage. On the other end, Texas goalie Remi Poirier made 26 saves on 30 shots, finishing with an .867 save percentage. For Chicago, the win sets up a thrilling division finals matchup—and with Suzuki heating up at the perfect time, the Wolves are looking like a team on a mission.
