Stewart Cink is making the Champions Tour look like his personal playground. The 52-year-old veteran has been on an absolute tear, and Sunday at the Regions Tradition, he added another major trophy to his growing collection.
Cink fired a final-round 69 to finish at 18-under 270 at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama, winning by three shots over Scott Hend. Colin Montgomerie rounded out the top three. This victory marks his second major in just three weeks, following his win at the Senior PGA Championship in Florida. It's also his fifth win in his last eight starts on the tour—a stretch of dominance that would impress any golfer at any level.
"I was pretty resilient and I trusted what I had," Cink said. "Our game plan was good. I wasn't perfect by any stretch, but I played good golf and under the circumstances I kind of did what I needed to do to keep everybody from being too close. Still, it never feels easy. I wish it felt easier, it never does."
From the start, Cink looked in complete control. Birdies on the second and fifth holes set the tone early, and when he added back-to-back birdies at 11 and 12, the outcome felt inevitable. This marks the second consecutive year that the same player has swept both the Senior PGA and the Regions Tradition—Angel Cabrera pulled off the same double last year in back-to-back weeks.
"This weekend was a little scrappy," Cink admitted. "I'm really proud I was able to stay out front."
For fans of the game, Cink's run is a reminder that experience and consistency can still dominate. Whether you're grinding on the course or just gearing up for your weekend round, his performance proves that staying steady under pressure is the key to victory. And for those looking to channel a bit of that champion's mindset, the right gear can help you look the part while you work on your game.
