Golden State Warriors fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Head coach Steve Kerr has provided a positive update on Stephen Curry, confirming the superstar will return to the lineup for Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Curry was held out of Thursday's marquee matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers due to right knee soreness, described as runner's knee.

This season has been a rollercoaster for Curry regarding availability; he missed a significant 27-game stretch earlier this year. However, since his return in early April, he's shown flashes of his MVP form, dropping 29 points against the Houston Rockets and helping secure a close 110-105 victory over these same Kings just days ago. For the season, the 38-year-old continues to defy age, averaging an impressive 27 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.

Kerr is also optimistic about the returns of Kristaps Porzingis (out for illness/knee management) and Al Horford, who has been sidelined for 14 games with a calf injury. Getting this trio back is crucial as the Warriors look to build momentum and finish their regular season strong against the Los Angeles Clippers on April 12.

The news of Curry's Lakers absence did disappoint some fans hoping for one more chapter in the iconic Steph vs. LeBron rivalry, but the priority is clearly having a healthy squad for the final push. As one fan aptly put it online, "We need everyone back and healthy." The Warriors are now one step closer to that goal.
