ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) — The St. Joseph Goats will have revamped look heading into the 2026-2027 season.
On April 12, the Goats announced on Facebook the team will be donning new Adidas sponsored home and away jerseys. The color scheme remains the same blue and white, but dashes meant to symbolize goat horns have been added to the shoulder sleeves of the jerseys.
Owner Steve Craig and Managing Partner Ted Sweeney sought to bring a fresh look to the teams uniforms shortly after purchasing the team in June 2025.
“This is my first crack at designing a uniform,” Sweeney said. “Our main objective was to prominently display St. Joseph across the front of the jersey, especially on the road versions. Overall we wanted a cleaner look, which I think we accomplished with these new ones.”
When the process first began to create the new uniforms, the team incorporated thoughts and feedback from the public in addition to their own ideas to create the final look. The prospect of alternate colored jerseys was discussed, but the idea was denied by The Arena League.
“We considered a black jersey,” Sweeney said. “Coach (Dorsey) Golston really wanted one, but the league nixed it. The league likes us in blue because it's what we're getting known for. That was the reasoning behind, not being able to have a black jersey this year. Going forward, we will probably not make changes annually, but every now and again.”
The Goats will be revealing a replica version of the new jerseys for the public to purchase in the coming weeks. For updates and information on the St. Joseph Goats visit their social media.
