Tottenham Hotspur have officially unveiled Roberto De Zerbi's complete backroom staff ahead of their Premier League return against Sunderland, marking a fresh chapter for the club. The announcement confirms De Zerbi is blending new faces with familiar ones, retaining key personnel from the previous regimes of Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor.
Joining the coaching setup are two new assistants who have a long history with De Zerbi: Marcattilio 'Marco' Marcattilii as First Team Fitness Coach and Marcello Quinto as Senior Professional Development Phase Coach. Both have been integral parts of De Zerbi's staff for years, following him from his time at Brighton & Hove Albion and Marseille, ensuring a sense of continuity and shared philosophy.
They will work alongside a core group of retained coaches, including the notable figure of Bruno Saltor as Assistant Coach, Andreas Georgson (Assistant Coach), Cameron Campbell (Individual Development Coach), and Fabian Otte (Goalkeeping Coach). This mix suggests De Zerbi values stability while imprinting his own trusted methods on the squad.
However, one anticipated name is absent from the official list. Despite recent speculation and fan hope, former Spurs midfielder and cult hero Sandro Ranieri does not appear to be part of the new staff. His inclusion was seen by many as a potential bridge to connect De Zerbi with sections of the fanbase. Interestingly, Ranieri was spotted at training today greeting players, leaving his future role, if any, an open question for supporters.
With the international break concluded, all eyes are now on how this newly structured coaching team will prepare the squad for the crucial final stretch of the season, starting with the visit of Sunderland.
