We had a big week to kick off the spring season of the Old Colony Memorial Athlete of the Week poll with 26,409 total votes, the most since the poll for Dec. 10, 2025 when more than 30,000 votes were recorded.

The winner this week is Danny Kenney, a senior captain on the Plymouth North baseball team. Kenney has been dominant in three starts, defeating North Quincy, Duxbury, and Hingham, allowing just one earned run.

Kenney captured 59.39 percent of the votes. Plymouth North softball player Chloe Stasinos was second with 31.07 percent.

Horvath had a two-run walk-off single April 14 in a 4-3 win over Plymouth North.

Herndon broke her own school record in the 200-meter dash April 14 with a time of 25.65 seconds to help the Blue Eagles slip by Hingham, 52-48.

Both Boyd and Manning were 4-for-5 in a Patriot League 8-3 win over Hanover on April 13.

The Blue Eagles second doubles duo picked up their first varsity win April 13 with a 6-1, 7-5 victory in a 4-1 win over Silver Lake.

Gendron earned the win, slugged a home run, and recorded her 400th career strikeout April 14 in a 7-0 win over Plymouth North.

Walker’s three-set win at second singles was the difference April 14 in a 3-2 win over Plymouth North.

The poll includes players from Plymouth North, Plymouth South, and the Rising Tide Charter School. Votes are unlimited. Voting closes each Sunday at noon. Emailed votes will not be counted.
