The stage is set for a dramatic Real Madrid reunion. Jose Mourinho is widely expected to return as manager after 13 years, with talks reportedly in their final stages and a potential announcement at the end of the month. The "Special One" knows the challenges ahead and is already planning a top-tier coaching staff to restore the club's former glory.

According to reports, Mourinho's first priority is to bring a Real Madrid legend onto his staff—a strategy he used during his first stint. Back then, he wanted Raul Gonzalez, but the iconic striker chose to continue playing at Schalke. Instead, Mourinho turned to Aitor Karanka, who became a loyal lieutenant and a capable coach.

Now, 13 years later, Mourinho wants to repeat that formula. His preferred choice is once again Raul Gonzalez. However, that option seems unlikely, as the former Castilla coach didn't leave the club on the best terms just months ago. With Raul unavailable, Mourinho is expected to look at other former Real Madrid players currently within the club's setup. Diego Lopez, who worked under Raul at Castilla, has been mentioned as a potential candidate.

Beyond the coaching staff, Mourinho plans to bring several assistants from his time at Fenerbahce, including fitness coaches. The future role of current fitness guru Antonio Pintus remains uncertain. The formal talks between Mourinho and club president Florentino Perez will reportedly wait until Benfica's season concludes, but the pieces are already falling into place for a blockbuster return.
