UConn announced that rising senior Solo Ball will be taking a medical redshirt for the upcoming season, with plans to undergo wrist surgery. He will return to action for the 2027-2028 season, having dealt with this wrist injury throughout the 2025-2026 campaign.

The Huskies have been retaining most key players while making some huge additions in the portal in Seton Hall center Najai Hines and Duke wing Nikolas Khamenia. They’ll also have Braylon Mullins back in their backcourt along with point guard Silas Demary Jr. and a couple of talented freshmen expected to contribute early.

Jayden Ross is also likely to be in line for a significant role for the Huskies next season, though they are also likely to still go looking in the portal for more depth.
