A new era is officially underway for Benson Braves softball. As the team looks ahead to the 2026 season, they're stepping up to the plate with a fresh coaching staff and a brand-new conference to call home.

Leading the charge is new head coach Robb Miller, who takes over the program alongside assistant coach Grace Lee. They inherit a Braves squad eager to turn the page after a challenging 3-18 campaign last year, which included a 1-13 record in their final season within the West Central Conference.

That chapter is now closed, as Benson has found a new competitive home in the Prairie Conference. This move promises a reset and new rivalries against conference foes like Browerville, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Osakis, Swanville, and Upsala.

"We are looking forward to the season and joining a new conference," Coach Miller said, highlighting the team's positive trajectory. "Our girls have been working hard in practice and they are showing great progress."

That progress will be fueled by a solid core of experienced players. Miller will rely on a strong senior class featuring Dallas Carey, Madi Osterbauer, Ava Williams, and the duo of Megan and Paige Wrobleski. They're joined by a deep junior class and a promising group of underclassmen, creating a full roster ready to compete.

With returning starters like Carey, Jada O'Leary, Osterbauer, Williams, and the Wrobleski sisters, the Braves have a foundation of veteran leadership. As they lace up their cleats for a fresh start in the Prairie Conference, the focus in Benson is squarely on building a winning culture and making a statement in their new league.
