PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers convened for shootaround on Sunday morning as they continued their preparation for Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. The Sixers need a win in order to avoid the dreaded 3-1 hole before the series shifts back to the TD Garden.

The big question at shootaround is the status of Joel Embiid. The 2023 MVP winner is listed as doubtful for this contest as he continues to recover from an emergency appendectomy on April 9, but it's obvious that he is continuing to make serious strides toward a return to the floor.

One has to wonder if Embiid participated in any parts of shootaround on Sunday in preparation for a huge game.

"Yeah, a little bit," Justin Edwards said of Embiid. "He went through walkthrough. He just got done shooting, so looking forward to seeing if he’s able to play tonight."

If Embiid can't go, then the Sixers will be looking to Adem Bona and Andre Drummond to continue their play in the paint to give Philadelphia a presence against this Celtics team.
