The legal proceedings surrounding former Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore have reached a conclusion. Moore, who was fired from his position on the same day as his arrest, has been sentenced to 18 months of probation for stalking, avoiding jail time.

The case stemmed from an incident where Moore went to the residence of his former assistant, Paige Shiver. While most felony charges were previously pleaded down, Moore faced sentencing on two remaining misdemeanors. During the hearing, Judge Cedric Simpson acknowledged the facts did not warrant incarceration but delivered a firm rebuke, stating, "Frankly, Mr. Moore, you had no right to do what you did. I know she was placed in fear... you had no right to spread your pain to her."
