The stage is set for an electrifying week of high school track and field as the best athletes from the Pensacola area head to Jacksonville for the FHSAA state championships. From Wednesday through Friday, Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida will be the battleground where dreams of state titles are won—one sprint, jump, or throw at a time.
The action kicks off Wednesday with the 1A meet, followed by Thursday’s 2A competition, and wraps up for local contenders on Friday with the 3A meet. Notably, no Escambia or Santa Rosa County schools compete in the 4A classification, which takes over the track on Saturday.
To earn a spot in Jacksonville, athletes had to finish in the top two at their regional meet or secure an at-large bid. For 1A and 2A competitors, the challenge extends beyond their rivals—they’ll face temperatures soaring near 90 degrees. Meanwhile, 3A athletes will need to stay sharp as rain is in the forecast for Friday, adding an extra layer of drama to the final day.
Below is the complete roster of area athletes heading to state, complete with their seeding in each event. All times and rankings are courtesy of FloridaTFFRS. Whether you’re tracking a favorite or scouting future stars, this is where the Pensacola area’s finest prove their mettle.
