One of the season's standout matchups came on May 12, when Churchville-Chili hosted Spencerport in a game full of grit and determination. Churchville-Chili's Kayla Cervini battled to keep Spencerport's Brooke Endres at bay, while Spencerport's Joey Cerretto fought for possession under pressure from Churchville-Chili's Mercy Payne, Alaina Podszebka, and Shavonne Callahan. Brooke Endres showcased her speed, slipping past defenders Mercy Payne and Anna Gale to create scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, Spencerport's Kylie Carusone scanned the field for an open teammate as Churchville-Chili's goalie Emily Murano and Megan Neidel held their ground in front of the net.

The draw control was a key battleground, with Brooke Endres winning the faceoff against Churchville-Chili's Ashlyn McDermott. On the other end, Churchville-Chili's Shavonne Callahan looked to distribute the ball while Spencerport's Madelyn Morgan and goalie Ellie Marron locked down the defensive zone. Churchville-Chili's Ella Jenkins showed off her agility, spinning away from a Spencerport defender to keep the play alive. And Spencerport's Ava Pittman delivered a decisive shot, firing the ball past Emily Murano to light up the scoreboard.

Whether you're a player, coach, or fan, these photos capture the heart of the game. Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses—because in Section V girls lacrosse, every play tells a story.
