Mark your calendars, SEC fans! The unofficial kickoff to the college football season is on the move and has a new date. The SEC has announced that the 2026 SEC Media Days will begin on July 20th in Tampa, Florida, marking a significant change of scenery for the annual spectacle.

For decades, this event has served as the thrilling preamble to the fall, where coaches set the tone and star players become household names. The relocation to Tampa's vibrant atmosphere promises a fresh backdrop for the headlines, predictions, and iconic sideline fashion that define this weekend.

The four-day event will see all 16 head coaches take the podium. The speaking order is already generating buzz, with Tennessee's Josh Heupel slated among the four coaches leading off on Day One, July 20th. Vanderbilt's Clark Lea will address the media on Tuesday, July 21st.

This edition will have a particularly new look on the sidelines, as a remarkable six programs will feature new head coaches making their SEC Media Days debut: Will Stein at Kentucky, Alex Golesh at Auburn, Jon Sumrall at Florida, Pete Golding at Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin at LSU, and Ryan Silverfield at Arkansas. Their introductory press conferences will be must-watch events for any fan tracking their team's new direction.
