SOUTH BEND — Former Notre Dame football running back/kickoff returner Jadarian Price is officially an NFL rookie after the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks selected him in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Here's what Price brings to the Seahawks, based on his career with the Irish:

Despite playing a supporting role behind Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame, Jadarian Price offers significant value as a home-run threat both out of the backfield and as a kickoff returner (three career touchdowns). The two main knocks on Price, who decided to forego his final year of eligibility, are his lack of production in the receiving game (15 career catches) and a penchant for fumbling, including three bobbles in 2025.
Two of Price's fumbles in 2025 became turnovers, and all three happened in the deep red zone as the Irish offense was moving to score. His 4.49 time in the 40 was tied for sixth among running backs who tested at the NFL Scouting Combine, but Price still flashed breakaway speed throughout his three seasons on the field.
Officially measured at 5-foot-11 and 203 pounds, the Denison, Texas product averaged 6.0 yards per carry while rushing for 1,692 career yards. Three of his 15 career receptions went for touchdowns. All three of his kickoff return touchdowns came at Notre Dame Stadium: against USC in 2023 and again vs. the Trojans last season, when he also took one back against Purdue. He didn't return kicks in 2024.
