Big news out of Atlanta as the Braves continue to bolster their roster with key players returning from injury. The first-place club is getting healthier by the day, and fans have every reason to be excited.

Just yesterday, we saw Spencer Strider make his highly anticipated 2026 debut in the series finale against the Rockies, and Raisel Iglesias is set to be activated from the Injured List tomorrow. Now, the Braves have announced two more significant updates that could reshape their lineup.

First up, catcher Sean Murphy has been officially activated off the injured list and rejoined the major league club ahead of tonight's game against the Seattle Mariners. After a productive rehab stint in Gwinnett where he found his rhythm at the plate, Murphy is ready to contribute immediately. He'll bat seventh and catch for starting pitcher JR Ritchie. In a corresponding roster move, the Braves designated catcher Jonah Heim for assignment. While it's a tough goodbye, fans will always remember "The Jonah Heim Game" from May 3, 2026.

But the news doesn't stop there. In a promising development for the infield, shortstop Ha-Seong Kim has been promoted from Double-A Columbus to Triple-A Gwinnett. The Stripers will begin a six-game road trip Tuesday night in Norfolk, and Kim will join them there to continue his rehab assignment. So far, so good for the right middle finger tendon that sidelined him—in four games with the Clingstones, Kim batted .333 (3-for-9) with three runs scored and a stolen base.

While Mauricio Dubón and Jorge Mateo have provided valuable depth and versatility, and manager Walt Weiss has squeezed every ounce of production from his bench, the thought of adding a player of Kim's caliber is electrifying. His return would make an already deep Braves team even more formidable down the stretch.

Kim himself is eager to get back on the field. Speaking through a translator after a recent rehab game, he shared his motivation: "I've been keeping track of the games when I can. If I can't watch the full games, I'm watching highlights, and the team is hot... it motivates me to prepare myself better to return to the big leagues and contribute."

With Murphy back behind the plate and Kim closing in on a return, the Braves are stacking up reinforcements at just the right time. Stay tuned—this team is only getting stronger.
