The Seattle Seahawks are already looking sharp for the upcoming season, but the future is calling—and it might just be wearing an Indiana uniform. In CBS Sports' way-too-early 2027 NFL mock draft, analyst Ryan Wilson has the Seahawks selecting wide receiver Nick Marsh with the No. 31 overall pick.
At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Marsh brings an imposing frame that's hard to ignore. Wilson describes him as a "natural replacement" for Elijah Sarratt, noting that Marsh lines up outside about 95% of the time. Despite his size, he's surprisingly agile—able to plant his foot, change direction quickly, and create separation at the route stem. While he may not blow past defenders on deep routes, his contested-catch ability and yards-after-catch (YAC) skills are top-notch. He knows how to use his body to shield defenders, making him a reliable target in tight coverage.
Marsh's college career has been impressive. In 2025 at Michigan State, he racked up 662 receiving yards and six touchdowns before transferring to Indiana. The year prior, he logged 649 receiving yards, showing consistent production that NFL scouts love.
For now, the Seahawks' receiving corps is in great shape. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the 2025 AP Offensive Player of the Year, leads the group, joined by veteran Cooper Kupp and speedster Rashid Shaheed. But here's the catch: Kupp will turn 33 in 2026, and his production has dipped. After winning the AP Offensive Player of the Year award in 2021, he's battled multiple injuries and posted just 593 receiving yards in 2025—his lowest total since his second season. With Kupp entering a contract year in 2027, adding a young, dynamic receiver like Marsh makes perfect sense.
Whether you're repping a Seahawks jersey or just love the draft buzz, keep an eye on Marsh—he might be the next big thing in Seattle's offense.
