The Seattle Seahawks have made some roster adjustments following their rookie minicamp, signing two undrafted free agents and releasing another as the team continues to fine-tune its depth chart for the upcoming season.
According to ESPN's Brady Henderson, the Seahawks have inked wide receivers Trayvon Rudolph and Rashad Rochelle to deals, while waiving outside linebacker Devean Deal. These moves reflect the constant evaluation and competition that defines NFL roster building—especially during the offseason when undrafted players get their shot to prove they belong.
Rudolph, a product of Toledo, put up 435 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2025, but his most impressive campaign came earlier in his college career. In 2021, while at Northern Illinois before transferring to Toledo, he exploded for 892 receiving yards and seven touchdowns—a stat line that shows he has the potential to be a playmaker if given the right opportunity.
Rochelle, meanwhile, arrives from Indiana State after a standout 2025 season where he hauled in 743 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. His journey includes a stop at Rutgers from 2022-23 before transferring to the Sycamores, giving him experience in different systems and a versatile skill set that could translate well to the NFL.
Both Rudolph and Rochelle impressed during their tryouts at Seattle's rookie camp, earning them a chance to compete for playing time in a receiving corps that's always looking for fresh talent. On the flip side, Deal—who recorded 2.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss at TCU in 2025—didn't make the cut, as the Seahawks opted to move on after his performance at camp didn't measure up.
For a Seahawks team looking to reload and build depth, these signings add intriguing options to the wide receiver room. Whether Rudolph or Rochelle can carve out a role remains to be seen, but their college production and camp performances suggest they're worth keeping an eye on as training camp approaches.
