As Iowa football continued to have players drafted on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Hawkeyes saw offensive guard Beau Stephens selected No. 148 overall by the Seattle Seahawks, prompting Seahawks and Hawkeyes fans to flood social media with their reactions to the pick.
Stephens was one of the seven Hawkeyes chosen in this year's NFL draft, joining Logan Jones, Gennings Dunker, Kaden Wetjen, Karson Sharar, TJ Hall and Max Llewellyn.

Beau Stephens had the third best zone-blocking grade in the draft. Can't go wrong drafting Iowa offensive linemen. Has experience at right guard. Was given the Hayden Fry Award twice for exemplary leadership and dedication. Had a third round grade on him. Great value. #Seahawks.
