The Seattle Seahawks, fresh off a Super Bowl victory, hold the final pick of the first round at No. 32 overall. With only four selections in the entire draft, every choice carries immense weight for their championship roster build. While cornerback, running back, and edge rusher are glaring needs, a surprise move for an interior offensive lineman (IOL) is gaining steam as a distinct possibility.

According to ESPN's Jordan Reid, the Seahawks and the Los Angeles Chargers are two teams to monitor as potential landing spots for a first-round interior blocker. Reid identified three prospects who could hear their names called on Day 1: Texas A&M's Chase Bisontis, Oregon's Emmanuel Pregnon, and Georgia Tech's Keylan Rutledge.

The Chargers, picking at No. 22, will have the first opportunity to snag one of these talents. However, the consensus is that the IOL class, aside from top prospect Olavavega Ioane from Penn State, should see quality options available when Seattle is on the clock at No. 32. This presents a strategic opportunity for the Seahawks to fortify their trenches.

For Seattle, Emmanuel Pregnon stands out as a particularly logical fit. The experienced Oregon lineman had a strong 2025 season and could provide an immediate upgrade at right guard, a position where Anthony Bradford faced challenges last year. While Chase Bisontis is a talented but younger guard where the first round may be a slight reach, and Keylan Rutledge would be the most surprising first-round selection of the trio, the Seahawks' front office has been known to trust their evaluations above consensus.

Ultimately, with limited draft capital, the Seahawks must maximize value. Selecting a starting-caliber guard at the end of the first round to protect their franchise quarterback and boost the run game could be a savvy, under-the-radar move that pays dividends for their title defense.
