The South Dakota State women's golf team wrapped up a competitive second day at the NCAA Stanford Regional, and the Jackrabbits are showing they can hang with the nation's best. After 36 holes, SDSU is tied with Navy for 11th place at +38 overall, setting up a crucial final round on Wednesday.

Leading the charge for the Jackrabbits is senior McKenzie Mages, who continues to shine under pressure. Mages fired an impressive 72 (+1) on Tuesday, bringing her two-day total to 143 (+1). That performance has her tied for 20th place, just four strokes shy of cracking the top 10—a testament to her consistency and poise on a challenging course.

Teammates Reese Jansa and Molly O'Hara are tied for 57th place with +13 individual scores, while Hannah Boraas and Riko Danjo sit just one shot back in a tie for 59th. The depth of this SDSU squad will be key as they look to make a move in the final round.

Meanwhile, host Stanford is dominating the field. The Cardinal posted a blistering -17 as a team on Tuesday, extending their lead to a commanding 26-under par. In the individual race, New Mexico State's Emma Bunch holds steady at the top at -9 for the tournament.

Wednesday's final round promises plenty of drama. The Jackrabbits will tee off at 10:55 a.m. CT, playing alongside Navy and Cal Poly. With a top-10 finish within reach and Mages making a run up the leaderboard, SDSU fans have plenty to cheer for as the season's biggest stage continues.
