Scottie Barnes is on a roll, and so are the Toronto Raptors.
After falling behind two games to none to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Raptors have stormed back to tie their Eastern Conference first round playoff series at four games apiece.
He has scored at least 20 points in each of their first four playoff games. That's a feat that's never been done before in Raptors history.
Only players in Raptors history to start a playoff run with 4 consecutive 20+ point games:Scottie BarnesThat’s the list. Kawhi didn’t even do it in 2019.
At this point, it's hard to bet against Barnes continuing this stretch. And the better he plays, the more danger it puts the Cavs in, too.
It's really a strong culmination for Barnes of so much improvement throughout his career. When he was drafted out of Florida State, Barnes was viewed as a player who did so many things well but wasn't necessarily expected to be an incredible scorer.
He's still a super well-rounded player, but the scoring has caught up. He's improved his outside shooting and his foul shooting, and he can get the ball in the basket from all over the floor.
And right now, Barnes is confident. He knows the Raptors have a chance in this series. And he's doing what he can to lead a run deeper into the postseason.
