Duncan Scott, the decorated double Olympic champion, delivered a commanding performance to claim the men's 200m individual medley title at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships in London. The victory serves as a powerful statement of intent from the 28-year-old Scot, who has secured silver in this demanding event at the last two Olympic Games.

Scott powered to victory in a time of 1:56.08, showcasing the technical prowess and endurance that defines a world-class medley swimmer. His win not only earned him the British title but also secured his qualification for this summer's European Aquatics Championships. He finished ahead of Evan Jones in second and Max Litchfield in third.

Reflecting on his performance, Scott highlighted the importance of rhythm and execution. "In terms of my technique, my strokes and transitions between them felt pretty good," he said. "I'm happy – that's a good place for me to be at this time of the season." This win adds to an incredible resume that includes Olympic gold medals in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay at both Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

The evening's action also featured impressive victories from other rising stars. Oliver Morgan stormed to the 50m backstroke title with a new personal best of 24.36. Meanwhile, Eva Okaro continued her strong week, becoming champion in the women's 50m butterfly with a blistering PB of 25.95, breaking the sub-26-second barrier for the first time.

"I'm really happy with that," Okaro said of her splash-and-dash win. "The 50m is a bit of a fun one for me, but I really enjoyed that race... I'm also quite good at a splash and dash, so why not!" The championships continue to award British titles across 36 medal events, highlighting the depth of talent pushing for international recognition.
