Saracens delivered a statement performance at Ashton Gate, powering past an injury-hit Bristol Bears with a six-try masterclass to keep their Gallagher Premiership top-four hopes firmly alive.
The visitors ran riot in a blistering first-half spell, crossing the whitewash four times in just 13 minutes. Tom Willis, Hugh Tizard, Rotimi Segun, and Ben Earl all touched down as Saracens exploited some bewildering Bristol defending. Fergus Burke added the fifth before the break, while Tobias Elliott sealed the bonus-point win with a try a minute from full-time.
For Bristol, there were bright moments despite the defeat. Captain Fitz Harding crashed over from a line-out to open the scoring, Harry Thacker showed his trademark grit from a maul, and Matias Moroni capitalised on a rare Saracens lapse. Kalaveti Ravouvou also crossed in the second half to keep the Bears within striking distance.
The win moves Saracens to within two points of Bristol and Exeter, who sit fifth and fourth respectively. With the top four race heating up, this was exactly the response Mark McCall's side needed after a patchy run of form.
Bristol had signed Fred Davies from Doncaster Knights as emergency injury cover, but even fresh legs couldn't stem the tide. A shocking 15 missed tackles in the first half alone told the story of a team struggling to contain Saracens' relentless attacking waves.
The second half was more subdued, but not without drama. Saracens lock Theo McFarland was sin-binned for pulling down a maul, and Bristol's Joe Batley was fortunate to escape a red card after a head-on-head clash with Maro Itoje. Still, Ravouvou's try gave the home crowd hope before Elliott's late dagger silenced Ashton Gate.
For Saracens, this 10th straight win over Bristol is more than just a streak—it's a statement of intent. With the business end of the season approaching, they're hitting form at exactly the right time.
