Get ready, volleyball fans—the 2026 State Farm Women's Volleyball Showcase is shaping up to be an absolute blockbuster. Sanford Sports has just announced the lineup for the event, which will take place from August 28 to 30 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, and it's packed with powerhouse programs.
Five elite teams from major conferences are set to compete: Creighton, Minnesota, Purdue, Arizona State, and USC. That's a roster that reads like a who's who of college volleyball, and they're all bringing their A-game to the heart of the Midwest.
The action kicks off on Friday, August 28, with Creighton facing Purdue and Minnesota taking on Arizona State. Saturday, August 29, features Creighton vs. Minnesota and Arizona State vs. USC. The showcase wraps up on Sunday, August 30, with USC going head-to-head against Creighton. Friday and Saturday matches will be broadcast on FOX or FS1, while Sunday's broadcast details and all game times are still to be announced.
“For the second straight year, we’re proud to help kick off the college volleyball season at the Sanford Pentagon,” said Jesse Smith, Vice President of Sanford Sports. “For years, we’ve been fortunate enough to host some of the best teams in the country in Sioux Falls. We’re grateful to Intersport for their partnership and helping to create what will be another tremendous event.”
This isn't just a random collection of teams—every single one of them made the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Creighton and Arizona State met in the third round last season, with the Bluejays winning 3-1 before falling to national runner-up Kentucky in the quarterfinals. USC also competed in that region, winning once before a 3-2 loss to Cal Poly. Purdue and Minnesota shared a region but never faced off; Purdue advanced to the quarterfinals before losing to Pittsburgh, while Minnesota fell to the same Panthers in the third round.
For Arizona State, this marks another appearance in the Showcase, adding continuity to an already thrilling field. With such a competitive lineup and early-season stakes, the 2026 Showcase is a must-watch for any volleyball enthusiast—and the perfect excuse to gear up in your favorite team's apparel.
