The Sandwich girls lacrosse team is on fire, extending their winning streak to six games with a dominant 21-6 victory over St. John Paul II on Thursday. The Blue Knights, now 11-2 on the season, showed no signs of slowing down as they continue to build momentum.

Elisabeth Stutzman led the charge with an impressive five goals and two assists, while Abi Reisig added four goals to the tally. Quinn Anderson and Paige Morrison each chipped in three goals, and Audrey Anderson and Julia O'Neil contributed two apiece. Kyla Darmon and Addie Greene rounded out the scoring with one goal each, showcasing the team's depth and balance on offense.

On the other side, the Lions (4-7) fought hard despite the lopsided score. Goalkeeper Maeve Mancinelli stood tall with 15 saves, while Akira Umbrello (two goals, one assist), Sophie Jansen (two goals), Lex McCarthy (one goal), Mia Curley (one goal), and Julia Johnson (one assist) led the offensive effort.

In other action around the Cape, Dennis-Yarmouth (6-5) cruised to an 18-3 win over Sturgis East (0-11), marking their second straight victory. Jenna Richard scored three times to surpass the 100-point mark for the season, a milestone that highlights her stellar campaign. Nadia Cerqueira added five goals and two assists, while Carolyn O'Keefe chipped in four goals. Mia Medeiros, Sienna Ahern-Harding, and Ella Cantonio also contributed, and Mya Cerqueira made eight saves in net. For the Storm, Elsa Levesque scored twice and Keira Harney added a goal.

Falmouth (11-3) kept rolling with a 15-7 win over Monomoy (1-12), their fourth straight victory, while Barnstable (7-6) made it three in a row with a 17-13 win over Pembroke. Emelie Jonsson was unstoppable for the Red Hawks, tallying seven goals and three assists. Avery Croteau added four goals, and Caroline Meins contributed three goals and seven ground balls. Caroline Curley also scored three times, and Morgan Mueller made 12 saves to secure the win.

Not every team had a winning day, however. Bourne (3-9) fell 13-4 to New Bedford, losing for the second straight game. Mashpee (8-5) saw their three-game win streak snapped in a 12-10 loss to Rockland, despite a seven-goal performance from Ciara Hendricks. Claire Howard added two goals, Sophia Morin had one, and Riley Thomas made 16 saves in a tough loss.

With the postseason approaching, teams across the Cape are finding their rhythm—some riding hot streaks, others looking to bounce back. Every game counts as the playoff picture starts to take shape.
