Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard said he's impressed with the team's acquisition of defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence from the New York Giants for the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
"The move is an unbelievable move in my opinion," the former Moeller High School standout said, in video shared via Twitter/X by the team from its draft party April 23. "And he instantly changes the face of this defense. Everything else is kind of inconsequential if you don't have that center of your defense shored up. And the depth is what makes you able to play late in the season. So I know Joe (Burrow) and the offense has got to be ecstatic. And the building has been buzzing this week.
Lawrence did his first public "Sexy Dexy" dance during the same party, four days after walking onto the field at Paycor Stadium for the first time as a Bengal.
The details of Lawrence's amended contract with the Bengals were shared by ESPN's Dan Graziano, leading ESPN's Giants reporter to tweet that Lawrence "simply wanted out from the Giants."
The Bengals announced earlier in the week that Lawrence will be wearing the No. 97 jersey Shemar Stewart wore last season.
